The National Film Board is delighted to offer emerging documentary film producers five (5) 200-dollar grants giving access to all the professional activities of Doc Circuit Montreal.
Since its creation, Doc Circuit Montreal has positioned itself as the annual flagship event of the documentary industry in Quebec. Each November it brings together leading practitioners and influential decision-makers for a unique encounter; a bilingual (French- English) North American marketplace for creative documentary.
Through their collaboration with Doc Circuit Montreal, the NFB will thrust the 5 successful applicants into the upper echelons of the documentary industry and awarded each recipient a professional meetings with a senior producer.
A Doc Circuit Montreal Pass worth $200 and including the Face-à-face
A mentor-ship meeting with a senior documentary producer
To have less than 3 year of experience as a documentary producer;
To have produced at least one (1) documentary project (feature, short-film, multiplateform)
Be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
The selection will be made by a comity formed by two senior producers of the industry.
A letter of intent explaining your motivations and objectives in participating with Doc Circuit Montréal and the name of a senior documentary producer you would like to meet;
A resumé that clearly states your background as a documentary producer and lists the projects on which you have worked
