MONTREAL PREMIERES OF THE YEAR'S BEST DOCUMENTARIES
The RIDM is coming back September 27th with the screening of Planet of Snail by Seungjun Yi.
Winner of the award for best feature documentary at IDFA and the year’s festival sensation, this Korean documentary is a sensitive portrait of an extraordinary couple. Deaf and blind writer Young-Chan and his wife, Soon-Ho, who has a spinal abnormality that prevented her from growing to a full adult height, life is a series of seemingly impossible challenges. The film could easily have been relentlessly serious, but it is refreshingly light and poetic. It allows us to feel the extraordinary energy of two people who are keenly aware of the slightest change in the world around them.
