This event is a chance to see and hear how Montreal's young people perceive their rights, and how they develop their social identity by opening up to the lives of their peers.
Several local community groups (Oracle Productions, Inter-Tribal Youth Center, Full Exposure, Crocodile Roux, Homeless Nation, NEXT-GEN NDG, Tialing dialo, Pact de Rue, Centre Jeunesse de la Montérégie, Vision Jeunesse),CitizenShift, encourage young people to develop as video artists and documentary filmmakers by organizing workshops and meetings where they are introduced to the people and equipment they will need. For the second year, the RIDM is offering them a chance to present their film projects at the Key to My City event, an initiative for young people between the ages of 16 and 25 from different areas of Montreal. Participants make a short documentary and introduce it to the audience at a free screening, followed by a Q&A moderated by Nantalie Indongo.
